This is a time to just care

Right now unaccompanied children are being taken into border authority custody after crossing the border, they are being forced to sleep on cold floors and without access to hygiene and basic support services. Regardless of your political views, here is your chance to be part of the solution and to literally be the face of the U.S. to these innocent children. Forget policy, this is a time to just care.

During the month of March (2021) alone 18,890 unaccompanied children crossed the border, some dropped over the fence by “mules” from a height of up to 27 feet. Immigrant services provided at the Border by DHS and a host of non-profits and private contractors are completely overwhelmed. See here for the details.

The immediate need is for medical care for children and adolescents at ICE facilities where the children are being held.

KurzSolutions is in the market for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide primary and emergency care to these displaced kids. For obvious reasons, bilingual ability in Spanish is required. You must be licensed in Texas and be prepared to work 48 hours per week.

Children should not have to experience the trauma that comes from daily threats, a terrifying journey, forcefully being removed from their parents, facing danger at the border or being held indefinitely by the U.S. government.

Save the Children’s current work at the U.S. southern border features programs to protect children and address their immediate needs, resource support and advocacy.
